This policy covers the apps made by Sprocketyard Labs LLC ("we", "us") and this website, sprocketyard.com.
The short version
We don't collect personal information from our apps. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking. Our apps talk to devices on your home network and nothing else. When you buy something, the app store handles the payment and only passes along what's needed to deliver your purchase. When you email us, we see what you send.
Our apps
Your home network
Our Android TV app finds your AV receiver or soundbar on your local network and connects to it directly to read its volume. That traffic stays on your network. We never see it, and the app doesn't send it anywhere else.
Settings stored on your device
The app saves your settings on your device: which audio device you picked and its network address, how the volume is displayed, and any themes you make. We can't see any of it.
If your device backs up app data, for example to your Google account, these settings may be included so they come back if you reinstall or set up a new device. That backup is between you and your backup provider, and we can't access it. You can turn it off in your device's settings.
Purchases
Purchases are handled entirely by the app store you buy from, which today is Google Play. The store processes your payment, and we never see your card or payment details. The store shares limited order details with us, such as an order number, what was bought, when, and the general location needed for sales tax. We use those details to deliver and restore your purchase, handle refunds, and keep the records our taxes require.
If you email us, we get your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it to reply and to fix the problem you reported. We keep support email as long as it's useful for that, and we'll delete it if you ask. Cloudflare handles email sent to sprocketyard.com addresses on our behalf.
This website
This website doesn't use cookies or track you. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views, which pages get read, where visitors came from, and general details like country and browser. It doesn't store anything on your device, doesn't fingerprint you, and doesn't follow you across other sites. We only see totals, never individual visitors.
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which may process basic request information like IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, as described in Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Who we share information with
We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it for advertising. The only companies involved are the ones named above, doing the jobs described above: the app stores we sell through, which today is Google Play, for distribution and payments, and Cloudflare for this website, its analytics, and our email. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Children
Our apps aren't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think a child has sent us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us what personal information we have about you, get a copy of it, or have it corrected or deleted. The only personal information we hold is support email and the order details app stores share with us. Email support@sprocketyard.com and we'll take care of it. We'll delete everything except the order records we're required to keep for taxes.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. If an app starts handling information differently, we'll update this policy before that version is released.
